Judie Lundgren Malievsky, 78, passed away at Peregrine Senior Living in Glenwood Springs, Co, surrounded by friends and family on January 21, 2019.

Judie was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on February 9, 1940, to Eleanor and Olof Lundgren.

Judie and her then husband moved to Carbondale, Colorado, in the fall of 1974 with two little girls in tow.

Friends and family say Judie was witty, funny and "a class act." She was a fabulous cook and baker; something irresistibly delicious seemed to always be coming out of her kitchen. She baked wonderful Swedish cookies and pastries. Judie was very proud of her Swedish heritage. She always put her family and friends first, and we will always be grateful for that.

Judie leaves behind two daughters: Erica Brager (Matt) and Tina Meredith (Greg) and two beloved grandchildren: Jack Meredith (20) and Lauren Meredith (17) who were the light of her life. She was always welcoming people into her beautiful home on Thomas Rd not to mention animals that needed a place to call home, too. She loved to garden and sit on her deck basking in the sun enjoying the birds, flowers & view of Mt Sopris.

She fought the hard fight and was sharp-witted and sassy until the end, but God had other plans for her.

She will be greatly missed by the many people who's lives she touched.

Judie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Vernie.

A celebration of Judie's life will be held this spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson's Foundation or Hospice of the Valley are suggested.
