June 24, 1945 – December 1, 2024
After a long and hard-fought battle with health issues, James Russell Warrington passed away December 1, 2024, at home in the arms of his wife, JoAnn.
Born June 24, 1945, in Grand Junction, Colorado, Jim was the son of the late Shirley and Lahoma Warrington. He graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1963 and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 1984.
Jim was a veteran of the US Navy, having served as an electrical repairman on the USS Carpenter during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed a 50+ year career as a Journeyman Electrician and was also active in his local church.
Jim loved singing, nature, riding his motorcycle, and helping people, but his greatest joy was his family. He had a beautiful tenor voice, was quiet, friendly, encouraging, authentic, and loved by many.
Jim is survived by his wife of 54 years, JoAnn; his children, Andrea (Willie), Sheryl (Rain), Mary (Jairo), and Steven (Courtney); his grandchildren, James (Maka), Taryn (Daryl), Ivy, Silas, Kailer, Carter, and Daya; his sister, Judy (Fred) Ingelhart, and many other family members.
